Product Review: Macadamia™ Deep Repair Masque

Anyone who knows me, knows I hate putting too much gunk in my hair.  I generally do not use holding mouses, hairsprays, gels, etc.  because it usually leaves my hair pretty crunchy and dried out.  I prefer a more natural approach to my waves when I have them. And I generally do pretty good but with the dry winter months, heat styling, coloring, UV rays of the sunlight and our dreaded water here, my hair has suffered a bit.  I use a lot of Moroccan oil products but I recently discovered the amazing benefits of Macadamia oil and I’m HOOKED!

After the long, dry months of winter, it was time to find something to infuse moisture back into my locks.  So you can imagine how intrigued I was to discover Macadamia’s line of hair products.  Macadamia Natural Oil™ is a premium, professional hair care line focused on healing and beautifying problem hair via a modern application of Macadamia and Argan oils.  It is used  by such celebs as Naomi Watts, Chrissy Teigen, Natalie Dormer, to name a few.

I tried the Deep Repair Mask first.  I am not usually convinced of any product until I try it first.  I washed my hair as usual and used a quarter sized dollop, concentrating on the ends first and combing through with my fingers from top of scalp downward.  The directions say to leave on for 7 minutes.  I think my timing was thereabouts, maybe slightly longer.  No heat is required, however, a shower cap never hurt for a oil treatment or hair mask.  If anything, it’s even better!  I could feel my hair significantly smoother after a few minutes and the scent is just beautiful!  After I rinsed it out, I my hair felt 100x better!   I let my hair air dry and today it just feels so amazing!  It is definitely a product I will continue to use and one I would recommend to anyone who has frizzy, damaged, dry, color treated, chemically processed, wild hair.  My next Macadamia product to try is the No Tangle Pre-Styler. I will keep you posted on the results!
