25 Best Games for Kids and Teens, 2017

Games for kids are definitely different than when I was a kid! Not to sound like an old fuddy-duddy, but many of the games I played as a kid to include Operation, Candy Land, Monopoly, Mousetrap, Spirograph and Hungry Hippos were pretty basic by today’s standards. I remember when Mousetrap first came out. I was super excited to play with the crazy maze-like contraption, but I must have been way over my head because I remember being pretty disappointed when I couldn’t understand HOW to play it (hey, I was only 6).

I am super happy to see that board games and card games are making a comeback. With the holiday season right around the corner, they also make a great gift for a family or an all-in-one for several kids!

Most trending games seem to carry themes of over the top silliness, gross, farts, getting sprayed with water – or all of the above. Take for example the list below of the top selling games for kids right now and you will see a pattern. I refrained from listing many of the games on the market due to poor ratings, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that many are poop, booger and fart related. Not to say I wouldn’t have laughed my head off at age 8 with poop and fart games, they just weren’t available. If I wanted that kind of fun, I was just going to have to buy a whoopie cushion. 🙂  Which I did.
