Tween Brand of the Week: River Island

Tween Brand of the Week: River Island

If you’re looking for unique, stylish and affordable clothes, look no further than River Island for your girl or tween. River Island is a new favorite because of it’s sophisticated styles for tweens. Loved by women worldwide, the brand has really reached a new audience with it’s girls sizes with trendy, juniors styles. And while many moms may want the more age-appropriate styles for their tween girls, there is really a good variety for everyone here.

The London-based brand features everything from cute accessories to shoes, dresses, jeans, rompers, tops, underwear, outerwear and even activewear and dance wear.

River Island is known for it’s stylish, affordable fashion for the whole family. The unique touches they bring to their collections really make the brand stand out from a lot of other retailers. Loyal followers of the brand count on RI for back to school, summer vacation, going-out outfits, seasonal novelty sweaters, special occasion dresses, as well as casual sweaters, tees, denim and cute bags and shoes.

All of the products at River Island are designed in-house with one of the largest design teams in RTW “high street” retail (aka mass market, fast fashion), with new fashion pieces delivered in-store and online every week.

And while “fast fashion” isn’t my favorite bag of goods, I do respect their ethical business practices, desire to do better, and mission statement.

River Island has always believed in doing business the right way. This means honestly, fairly, and with a respect for others. We are a family business with a steadfast commitment to protecting the human rights and the dignity of all persons within our global supply chain. Furthermore, we have an underlying and long standing commitment to ethical trading, based upon the firm belief that business can be both profitable and responsible. Therefore, River Island firmly supports the UK Government’s pioneering approach to tackling modern slavery and the introduction of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
